Daniel Mittler

Daniel Mittler is an experienced leader in the fields of environmental advocacy and campaign strategy. Currently serving as Executive Director at Finanzwende since April 2021, Mittler co-leads efforts to challenge financial lobby influences while overseeing campaigns, communication, and organizational growth. Previously, Mittler held various key positions at Greenpeace from 2004 to 2021, including Global Campaign Leader and Political Director, where responsibilities encompassed managing global teams, strategic advice, and addressing the interplay between polluters and governance. Early career engagements included roles at the European Climate Foundation and Forum Umwelt und Entwicklung, among others, emphasizing campaign management and lobbying on international issues. Daniel Mittler possesses an academic foundation in Politics and African Studies from The University of Edinburgh and UCL, complemented by an I.B. from Pearson College UWC.
