Ari Kumara

Ari Kumara has extensive work experience in security and management roles. Ari started their career as a military observer in the Finnish Defence Forces in 2001 and later worked as a contract officer and liaison officer for KFOR. Ari then transitioned to the private sector and held various managerial positions in security companies such as OTSO Vartiointi Oy and SOL Palvelut Oy. Ari also served as HR Manager and Deputy Managing Director at Securitas Group. Since 2011, Ari has been working at Finavia, where they served as the Security Manager at Helsinki Airport before being promoted to Vice President of Security, overseeing security efforts across the company and airports. In 2021, they took on the role of Chairman of The National Emergency Supply Organisation's Air Transport Pool. Prior to their security career, Ari held positions such as Risk Manager and Cash and Carry Manager at Kespro Oy.

Ari Kumara obtained a Diploma in Safety and Security Management from Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development in the years 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued a Specialist Qualification in Management at Edupoli, focusing on Business Management. Ari furthered their education at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences from 2009 to 2013, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Business Management. In 2007 to 2008, Kumara enrolled in a Special Education Programme at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, focusing on HR. Additionally, they completed a Specialist Qualification for Security Officers at AEL in 2006 to 2008. In the same period, they also pursued a Vocational Qualification in Security at the Management Institute of Finland. Kumara's educational journey started at K-Institute from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a Specialist Qualification for Shop Managers in Business Administration and Management. Finally, they completed a Vocational Qualification in Business Administration with a focus on Materials Economy at Kokkola Commercial College from 1990 to 1992.
