Alejandro Jakubowicz

Alejandro Jakubowicz has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the finance and banking industry. Alejandro has served as a Board Member in multiple organizations such as FINCA Nigeria, FINCA Uganda, FINCA Guatemala, FINCA DRC, and Banco FINCA Ecuador. Alejandro has held positions as Deputy Divisional Director and Chairman of the Board at Banco FINCA Ecuador. Alejandro has also served as Deputy Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at FINCA and as Deputy Regional Director for Africa. Additionally, they have held CEO positions at FINCA Uganda and FINCA DRC, where they successfully transformed the latter into the largest local microfinance institution. Alejandro also has experience working at MiCash Inc. as the Chief Operating Officer and at Tarshop S.A. as the General Manager. Prior to that, they worked at Citibank N.A. as Vice President in various roles, including Bankcards and Investment Products. Alejandro started their career at Tenaris in production planning and product development. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, financial management, business transformation, and developing innovative financial products.

Alejandro Jakubowicz pursued their first formal education at the University of Buenos Aires from 1979 to 1985, where they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Industrial Engineering. After a few years, in 1989, they attended Universidad de Belgrano and achieved a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree with a focus in Marketing. Later, in 2023, Alejandro enrolled at Stanford University for a short period to earn a Certification in Supervised Machine Learning: Regression and Classification.
