Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Xhail from June 2017 to July 2018, where they focused on innovating the arrangement of music scores for movies and TV. Gordon transformed the scalability of the solution by preparing and storing music rules asynchronously.
Before Xhail, Gordon worked at FieldAware as a Senior Software Engineer from February 2016 to February 2017. Gordon then joined Bank of America as a Senior Software Engineer on a contract basis from May 2014 to February 2016.
Prior to these roles, Gordon had a long tenure at RenaissanceRe, where they held several positions. Gordon was a Senior Software Engineer, Risk Systems, AVP from February 2012 to March 2014, where they re-engineered the core risk system to take advantage of BigData solutions and enhanced the speed and accuracy of deal analysis. Gordon also served as a Team Lead, Risk Systems, AVP from October 2011 to March 2012 and as a Business Delivery Manager, AVP from October 2009 to October 2011. In addition, they worked as a Software Engineer from September 2003 to October 2009, developing bespoke reinsurance accounting solutions.
Gordon's earlier experience includes working as a Software Engineer at NewWorldIQ from August 2000 to June 2003, where they specified and designed components of an email marketing system. Before that, they were a Software Engineer at TPLG from July 1999 to August 2000, assisting with the market launch of a library implementing topological algorithms.
Gordon's career began at Point Information Systems, where they worked as a Software Engineer from April 1994 to May 1999. Gordon progressed to lead a team responsible for designing and implementing the business logic tier in POINT's CRM software. Gordon also provided technical training, made sales presentations, produced marketing material, and provided customer technical support.
Gordon Elliott completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin from 1989 to 1993. Prior to that, they attended Wesley College from 1982 to 1989, where they did not attain a specific degree or field of study. In addition, in April 2019, they obtained a certification as an ICS Member from the Irish Computer Society.
