Francesco De Lorenzo has extensive experience in the field of noise and vibration, having worked at Fincantieri since May 2002 as the chief of the noise and vibration department. Francesco also teaches a course on Vibration and noise on board of ships at the University of Trieste, Faculty of Engineering. Prior to that, Francesco worked at Grandi Motori Trieste from July 1978 to June 1986 as an impiegato tecnico, where Francesco was responsible for the office ASR and had direct responsibilities for all ships, including cruises, transports, and yachts, as well as various aspects of vibrations and noise. Their first employment was at Meteor, which is involved in building military airplanes.
