Melody Morris

Melody Morris is a Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in developing and managing high-profile internal systems. Melody has worked at Finch AI since 2022, where they hold the role of Principal Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Avid Technology Professionals from 2017 to 2023, also as a Principal Software Engineer. In this role, they were involved in various projects, including developing a custom pipeline for ingesting and parsing data, creating custom UI components and ETL code, and implementing a microservice architecture. Before joining Avid Technology Professionals, Melody worked at Vision Systems &Technology, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer from 2006 to 2017. In this role, they were responsible for developing a custom system for data collection and processing, as well as database engineering duties. Melody began their career at Booz Allen Hamilton as an Associate Software Engineer from 2002 to 2006, where they were part of the development team for a web-based software portal. Melody's earliest work experience was at IIT Research Institute (IITRI), where they worked as a Software Developer from 1998 to 2002. In this role, they led the full lifecycle development of a web-based application for scheduling and managing meetings.

Melody Morris holds a Master's degree in Information Technology from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they completed by 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computers and Information Science from the same university by 1998. Additionally, Melody has certifications from Oracle as an Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Associate and from the Scrum Alliance as a Scrum Master Certified (SMC).
