Jay Song has a diverse work experience in the field of product development and research within the paper and coating industry. Jay worked as a Product Development Director/Engineer at Finch Paper starting from July 2015. Prior to this, they were a Senior Research Scientist at Sappi from April 2012 to July 2015. Jay also worked as a Senior Scientist at L'Oréal from August 2010 to March 2012. Before that, they served as a Temporary Scientist at International Specialty Products where they developed water-borne coating formulations for medical device applications. Jay also has extensive experience at International Paper Company as a Principal Scientist, where they focused on product development for printing and packaging applications. Jay started their career at Arkwright Advanced Coating as a Product Development Chemist/Group Leader.
Jay Song received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry from Shandong University. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. in Polymer Chemistry at the University of Connecticut, completing their studies between 1987 and 1993.
