Money Editor at Finder

Richard Whitten has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Richard began their career as a Teacher at Pagoda Academy from July 2010 to September 2012. In March 2013, they became Self-employed as a Copywriter and Content creator until December 2016. During this time, they also worked part-time as a Lead Writer/Editor at Langsoc from April 2013 to December 2016.

In 2017, Richard joined Finder as a Home Loans Editor, where they wrote and researched the mortgage industry, providing valuable insights to Australians making property decisions. In July 2022, they transitioned to the role of Money Editor at Finder, where they are currently responsible for overseeing financial content.

Richard Whitten completed their Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Sydney, where they studied from 2006 to 2009. In 2015, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Communication from Deakin University. Richard furthered their education by earning a Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (RG 206) from Kaplan Business School between 2020 and 2021. Currently, they are enrolled in Kaplan Business School, where they plan to earn a Tier 1 Generic Knowledge certification (RG 146) in Finance in 2023.
