Aron Shelton has a diverse range of work experience. Aron served as the Director and Story Engineer for Finding Northwest Arkansas since 2017. Aron was also a Story Engineer and Digital Engagement Strategist for Velocity Group starting in 2015. In 2011, they co-founded Seeds That Feed and served as a Board Member, where they focused on providing access to healthier foods. Aron Shelton was the Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Teen Action and Support Center from 2017 to 2019. Aron also held multiple roles at Teen Action and Support Center, including Director of Digital Engagement and Director of Community Service and Engagement. Additionally, they co-founded SpareTime, Inc. in 2012, which is an engagement platform for advancing social good.

Aron Shelton obtained a Bachelor's degree in Financial Investments and Management from the University of Arkansas. Aron attended the university from 2002 to 2007. Additionally, Aron Shelton has obtained several certifications. In April 2015, they received the Nationbuilder Expert certification from NationBuilder. In April 2017, they completed the OxfordX course "From Poverty to Prosperity: Understanding Economic Development" through edX. Most recently, in October 2022, Aron Shelton obtained a certification from Late Checkout Community College.
