Dr. Shastri Akella

Dr. Shastri Akella is a talented Fiction Writer and Writing Fellow currently associated with the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and Janklow & Nesbit Associates, where representation for Dr. Akella's first novel has been secured. Previous roles include English Teacher and Office of Inclusion Member at Deerfield Academy, as well as a Writing Instructor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where Dr. Akella taught various writing courses. Dr. Akella also brings experience from Google as a Team Lead, managing performance for a team, and as a Content Quality Specialist at Apex CoVantage, focusing on strategic marketing content. Dr. Akella holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Master of Science in Computer Science from Andhra University.
