Einari Kisel is a distinguished expert in energy policies, currently serving as a Professor of Practice at the FinEst Centre for Smart Cities since February 2020, where also holds the positions of Head of Partnerships and Strategy and Head of Strategy. Kisel has been a Member of the Supervisory Board at Eesti Energia since May 2017 and served as a Member of the Supervisory Board at Elektrilevi OÜ from July 2020 to April 2022. Previous roles include Europe Region Manager and Senior Fellow at the World Energy Council from February 2012 to October 2020, and Deputy Secretary General of Energy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications for Estonia from January 2002 to January 2012. Early in the career, Kisel was Director of Trade at Eesti Energia from March 2000 to December 2001. Kisel's academic credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Energy Policy from TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology, along with a Master of Arts in Business Administration and a Master of Technology in Thermal Engineering from the same institution.
