Asta Sihvonen-Punkka

Asta Sihvonen-Punkka is the Chief Executive Officer of Fingrid Oyj, having held several senior positions within the company since January 2016, including Executive Vice President of Markets and Senior Vice President of Market. Prior to this role, Asta served as Director General at the Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority from March 2011 to December 2015, and held similar leadership positions at the Energy Market Authority and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority from 1998 to 2011. Asta's career began at the Finnish Competition Authority as Assistant Director from 1996 to 1998. Asta holds a Master of Art in Economics from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu and a Master of Science in Forestry, focusing on the marketing of forest products, from the University of Helsinki.
