Derek Wilson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Derek started their career in the US Army as an Airborne Infantryman, where they quickly earned promotions and displayed strong leadership skills. Derek was known for creating an inclusive and safe work environment and effectively communicating tasks and orders. In 2014, Derek joined Lippert Components, Inc. and held various management positions, including Assistant General Manager, Plant Manager, and Production Manager. Derek then transitioned to FinishWorks in 2020, where they currently serve as the Director of Operations.
Derek Wilson completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminal Justice from Trine University from the years 2000 to 2004. In 2014, they obtained an MEP Certification in Lean Facilitator from Purdue University. Additionally, Derek Wilson acquired two additional certifications, namely OSHA 30-Hour General Industry in September 2023 and OSHA 10-Hour General Industry in August 2023, both from 360training.
