Geoff Atkins

Geoff Atkins is a Director at Finity Consulting, where they have been since 2005, specializing in general insurance consulting since 1984. Their extensive experience spans both the public and private sectors, providing advisory support to numerous insurance and reinsurance companies, as well as various compensation schemes in Australia and New Zealand. Notably, they led the actuarial support team for APRA during its investigation into the HIH group companies and played a crucial role in advising the Australian Treasury on the liability insurance crisis, recommending major tort reform. Geoff has also served as Chair of the General Insurance Committee of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and was named Actuary of the Year in 2003 for their contributions to national issues including medical indemnity and terrorism insurance. Currently, Geoff is pursuing a BA in Actuarial Science at Macquarie University.
