Dawson Choong

Dawson Choong has a work experience spanning over two companies. Dawson started their career at WANdisco in 2014 as a Software Engineer, where they worked on core development for the advanced replication engine used by renowned businesses. Dawson also led the development of a remote notification system and designed scripts for detecting failures and troubleshooting Hadoop clusters. In 2019, Dawson joined Finix as a Senior Software Engineer, specializing in core back-end development for payments processing, gateways, and settlement services. Dawson played a crucial role in facilitating transactions amounting to $6 billion annually. Recently, they have taken on the position of Team Lead, Staff Software Engineer at Finix.

Dawson Choong obtained a B.S. in Computer Science from UC San Diego, where they attended from 2009 to 2014. Prior to their enrollment in UC San Diego, Dawson Choong attended Terra Linda High School.
