Philip Taylor, CFA has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Philip is currently serving as the President & Chief Analytics Officer at FinMason since April 2019. In this role, they are leading strategic decisions, managing the global analytics team, and designing investment and risk analytics solutions. Philip has successfully grown the team and revenue by 2x in just 12 months.
Before joining FinMason, Philip Taylor held various leadership positions at different organizations. From May 2014 to February 2020, they served as the Chair of the Board and Director at CFA Society New York. During their tenure, they led a major turnaround in the society's program quality, brand value, and financial performance. Philip significantly grew the membership and transformed the society into a global leader, delivering world-standard content.
From June 2015 to April 2019, Philip Taylor worked as the Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets Desk at Lazard. In this role, they focused on pricing and distributing high-yield and convertible bond issues. Philip successfully led the distribution of multiple major transactions, resulting in substantial revenue across various sectors.
Prior to Lazard, Philip Taylor was the Managing Director of Global Arbitrage and Trading at RBC CAPITAL MARKETS CORP from 2005 to 2015. Philip built and managed a global convertible arbitrage strategy from scratch, overseeing all aspects of sub-strategy allocation, trade generation, analysis, modeling, execution, and risk management.
Philip also served as the Co-Head of Global Arbitrage at EXIS CAPITAL in 2003-2004 and as the Portfolio Manager for International Strategies at THE PALLADIN GROUP from 1998 to 2003. In these roles, they managed significant portfolios, collaborated with global partners, and developed expertise in international markets.

Philip Taylor, CFA has a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Business Management from the University of Cambridge. Philip also holds a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from the University of Cambridge. In 2018, they obtained an Executive Certificate in Artificial Intelligence - Implications for Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Management. Additionally, in the same year, they completed the Investment Management Workshop at Harvard Business School.
Philip Taylor, CFA also has several certifications. In 1998, they became a CFA Charterholder from the CFA Institute. In 2005, they obtained certifications in Series 7, 24, 55, and 63 from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
