Juho Uusihakala

Juho Uusihakala has a significant background in development cooperation and impact management. Juho started their career as an Independent Consultant specializing in project and program planning and evaluations. During this period, they focused on developing results and monitoring frameworks and systems, with a particular emphasis on measuring development impact. Juho worked in this capacity for both Juho Uusihakala Consulting and Advisory Services and the Embassy of Finland in Kathmandu.

In 2010, Juho Uusihakala joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and served as a Councillor at the Embassy of Finland in Dar es Salaam until 2013. Their responsibilities included managing Finland's sector support to Nepal's Education for All program and providing political and economic reporting.

From 2013 to 2016, Juho Uusihakala returned to working as an Independent Consultant, specializing in development cooperation project and program planning and evaluations. Their work involved acting as a Team Leader or single consultant in assignments, with a focus on delivering satisfactory products and outcomes.

Since 2016, they have been employed by Finnfund, initially serving as a Senior Development Impact Advisor, specializing in renewable energy and forestry investments. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Impact, overseeing the development and implementation of impact management systems to measure, monitor, evaluate, and report development impacts of Finnfund's investments.

From 1989 to 1995, Juho Uusihakala attended the University of Helsinki, where they obtained a Master's degree in Political Science. Their field of study focused on Political Science and Government.
