Javier Morató Mulet

Head of Open Innovation at Finnovating

Javier Morató Mulet has extensive work experience in the fields of innovation, finance, and business development.

Javier currently holds the position of Head of Open Innovation at Finnovating, where they collaborate with corporations, startups, and investors to create disruptive business models in the insurance, banking, and technology sectors. Javier facilitates connections within the ecosystem using tools such as the Challenge.

Previously, Javier worked at CreditForce España, first as a Growth Advisor and later as a Country Manager Spain & Business Development Manager. In this role, they helped companies optimize their credit and collections processes through technological solutions that adjust to their current and future needs.

Before joining CreditForce España, they served as the Subdirector of PDDs FiDEX and IDEx at Afi Escuela de Finanzas. In this position, they were responsible for program content and faculty, as well as mentoring fintech and insurtech startup projects and teaching digital and cultural transformation. The programs aimed to address the challenges faced by the financial and insurance sectors.

Prior to their role at Afi Escuela de Finanzas, Javier worked at BBVA for several years. Javier started as an Auditor Senior in various subunits of the group, conducting audits in areas such as commercialization, credit risk, and risk data aggregation. Javier also evaluated capital calculators and conducted audits in areas like pricing policies and cash management.

Javier has also worked as a Risk Analyst at Banco Santander New York Branch, where they gained experience in risk analysis.

Javier Morató Mulet has a diverse education history. Javier obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from EAE Business School, where they studied from 2021 to 2023. Prior to that, in 2018, they completed a program in Digital Banking Innovation and Financial Technology from IEB.

In 2009, Javier pursued a Master's degree in Banking and Risk Management at CIFF Business School, which they completed in 2010. Javier'searlier education includes a Bachelor's degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad CEU San Pablo, where they studied from 2002 to 2008.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Javier Morató Mulet has acquired several certifications. In September 2019, they received training in Team Coaching for Agile from the Escuela Europea de Coaching. Additionally, in July 2019, they obtained certifications in Team Kanban Practitioner and Kanban Management Professional from Kanban University.
