Rodrigo Garcia de la Cruz

Rodrigo Garcia de la Cruz has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles in the FinTech, InsurTech, and PropTech industries. Currently, they serve as the Chief Executive Officer of MatchGPT® since March 2023. Prior to this, they founded and served as the CEO of Finnovating, an innovative platform connecting FinTech, InsurTech, and PropTech with corporations and investors globally. Rodrigo also held the position of Vice President and President at AEFI Asociación Española de FinTech e InsurTech, where they played a crucial role in promoting the FinTech ecosystem in Spain and facilitating regulatory advancements. Additionally, they co-founded and held leadership positions at FinTech IberoAmérica, a FinTech alliance representing 20 Ibero-American countries, and the European Digital Finance Association, uniting the European FinTech ecosystem. Rodrigo has also made significant contributions as a founding board member of PropTech House - The European PropTech Network, supporting a sustainable European PropTech market. Rodrigo has a strong background in executive education, having served as the Executive Director of Digital Executive Programs at Afi Escuela de Finanzas, where they developed and launched various leading programs in FinTech and digital banking. Furthermore, Rodrigo cofounded Accurate Quant, the first European Quant-Advisor based on active management through quantitative strategies. Rodrigo has also been involved in other ventures, including Fintech Ventures SL and RITMO, as an investor. Through their numerous roles and endeavors, Rodrigo has demonstrated a commitment to advancing innovation, promoting sustainable principles, and driving collaborative efforts in the financial technology and digital finance sectors.

Rodrigo Garcia de la Cruz's education history includes various degrees and certificates obtained over the years. In 1999-2004, they completed their Engineer's degree in Industrial Engineering at the Universidad de Valladolid. Concurrently, from 2000 to 2007, they pursued a Degree in Business Administration, specializing in Administración y Dirección de Empresas, also at the Universidad de Valladolid. In 2011, Rodrigo attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for the Excellence Programme in International Financial Markets. Additionally, they enrolled in the Executive Master in Management in Financial Institutions and achieved the Specialist in Capital Markets and Structured Finance qualification at IEB in 2011-2012. Later, in 2013-2014, Rodrigo took the TOEIC ENGLISH TEST at TOEIC, focusing on English Language and Literature, General. In 2018-2019, they undertook the IC-A CERTIFICATE on Good Governance of the Companies for Directors-Administrators at Instituto de Consejeros-Administradores, IC-A, specializing in Board of Directors.
