Pirkko Seitsalo

Pirkko Seitsalo is a seasoned professional in environmental and social risk management with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a Senior Adviser at Finnvera Oyj since August 2020, Pirkko assesses environmental and social impacts related to export financing projects, develops action plans, and monitors compliance. Prior to this role, Pirkko was a Project Director at FCG Finnish Consulting Group, leading a team of environmental experts and managing a range of consulting services including Environmental Impact Assessments. Experience as a Senior Environmental Specialist at Vapo involved overseeing environmental permits and emissions reporting for energy production, while earlier roles at Pöyry and the Finnish Environment Institute included project management and coordination of environmental best practices. Pirkko holds an M.Sc. in Environmental Engineering Technology from the University of Oulu.
