Starting in 2008, they worked as an Italian Localization Tester at Activision, where they tested and ensured the quality of localized video game content. Nicola then moved on to Big Fish Games in 2010, taking on roles as a Team Lead and an Italian Localization Translator/Project Coordinator. In these positions, they managed translation projects, assigned tasks to linguists, and also translated and proofread game content.

In 2013, Spera joined World Writers Ltd. as a Transcreation Executive, where they were responsible for adapting and creating content in multiple languages. Nicola continued their career at Opia Ltd. in 2014 as a Project Manager, working closely with sales teams and clients to execute promotional activities and build strong client relationships. Nicola also coordinated with digital and creative teams to develop promotional microsites.

In 2016, Spera joined Synthesis Iberia SL as a Project Manager, overseeing various projects and managing project documentation. Nicola then joined JCDecaux in 2017 as a Creative Partner, contributing to creative projects.

Currently, Spera is working at Finshark, initially as the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) from 2019 to 2022, where they tackled obstacles in open banking and facilitated the democratization of finance. Nicola now holds the role of Chief Brand Officer, with a focus on branding and marketing strategies.
