Robert Kiprono (He/Him/His)

Robert Kibet is a Kenyan Frontend Developer with over five years of professional experience in software development. Specializing in creating responsive client-facing platforms, Robert has a passion for quality, detail, and reusability. He has a robust educational and technical foundation that complements his practical experience especially working with remote teams.

Currently, Robert serves as a Software Engineer at Finsweet, where he has been since September 2022. At Finsweet, he has integrated a suite of Webflow extension apps, created community tools, and integrated several tech solutions, including Vitepress, Discourse, and Auth0. He has also contributed to the Client JS team, working on various projects with different client requirements.

Starting his career in 2017, working as a web developer for Quadrant softwares, Robert co-founded Sensen Ventures, where he focused on managing product development for legal services apps like sheria.io. In 2019, he took on the role of Software Engineer at Credmark PTE in Singapore, fully-remote, where he developed decentralized wallet management applications, integrating technologies like Metamask and Web3js.

In 2020, Robert joined Diwala, Norway, as a Software Developer fully-remote. There, he developed decentralized skill identification and verification platforms, worked on a micro-frontend architecture, and implemented new features using React and React Native and utilized cloud services like GCP.

In 2021, Robert joined Safaricom PLC as a Software Engineer, on-site, a leading telecommunications provider in Kenya where he made significant contributions within the 6months at the company. He led the revamp of the Masoko e-commerce platform, transitioning it to a Next.js-based implementation. He also worked towards re-engineering Safaricom's frontend components into a common UI library for reuse across various company products.

Skilled in a wide range of frameworks and technologies—among them Webflow, Wized, Typescript, Svelte, React, NextJs, GCP and Cloudflare—Robert has demonstrated a keen aptitude for adapting to different work environments and technical requirements.

Robert believes in continuous learning and stays ahead by actively participating in community engagement through charity work, hiking, and art.
