Gabriel Montoya

Gabriel Montoya is an Advisory Board Member at Fintech Americas. Gabriel has previously served as CBDO at Open English and as Chief Executive Officer - Co-Founder at Next University, Inc.

Gabriel has expertise on family office formation, governance, operations and investment strategy. Gabriel has first-hand experience on family business operations and how to effectively incorporate digital transformation into the family business. Gabriel has worked with multi-generation, multi-jurisdiction families and businesses in diverse industries and geographies.

At Cisneros Group of Companies, Gabriel was responsible for the Cisneros Family Office, overseeing a wide range of investments, including marketable securities, real estate, private equity and venture capital among other assets. Gabriel was also responsible for the financial, international tax and estate planning activities of the shareholders. Additionally, Gabriel sits on several corporate Boards that are directly and indirectly related to the Cisneros Group of Companies.

Gabriel was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Miami Science Museum, member of the Board of Trustees of the St. Philip's Episcopal School, member of the Investment Advisory Committee of the Miami Art Museum and a participating member of the Florida International University’s Family Forum.

Montoya holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in finance from IESA, and a Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana (VE).
