James Carlyle

James Carlyle is an advisor at Finteum and a former Chief Engineer at Barclays Bank. Carlyle has over 13 years of experience in the financial industry, with a focus on personal and corporate banking architecture. Carlyle was also involved in mentoring startups as part of the Think Rise / Barclays Accelerator program. In 2014/5, Carlyle became passionate about the potential of the Ethereum blockchain platform and was the first Ethereum developer within the firm.

James Carlyle studied engineering science at Durham University, followed by a postgraduate diploma in advanced software engineering at Northumbria University. James also holds a certification in disciplined agile delivery from the Disciplined Agile Consortium and a certification in TOGAF 9 from The Open Group.
