Ravipati Veeraramarao

Ravipati Veeraramarao has had a long and varied career in DevOps and related fields. Ravipati began their career in 2003 as an AIX ADMin at IBM. In 2005, they moved to Fannie Mae as a Senior Unix Admin. In 2006, they worked at GlaxoSmithKline as a Unix Admin and also at The World Bank as an AIX Administrator. Here, they were responsible for leading the SAP infrastructure team of 5 and managing SAP AIX and Linux infrastructure using Virtualized infrastructure. Ravipati designed the virtualized platform for SAP. In 2011, they joined Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. as a Unix Architect. Here, they were responsible for leading the team in Design deployment of Devops as a service for Honeywell Enterprise and on-boarding 100 . Net, Java, Mobile projects. In 2016, they were promoted to IOT Platform Architect Lead at Honeywell, where they were responsible for managing the Devops team for Sentience Platform and building and maintaining the Devops pipelines for Sentience portfolio. In 2018, they joined DeCurtis Corporation as a Senior Devops Architect. Ravipati was responsible for managing the Devops team for the organisation, designing the end to end CICD flow for microservices based platform on Ship and shore for Cruiselines, working with Kubernetes and Openshift based deployments, suggesting implementation of opentracing based distributed tracing, using ELK, ELK APM, Zabbix and Prometheus for monitoring and logging, using AWS, terraform, kubernetes, openshift, Ansible, liquibase, Jenkins, Sonarqube, and improving standard NOC skillset by training them on automation tools and making them create reusable Ansible modules. In 2019, they joined NetEnrich, Inc. as a Cloud and Devops Leader, where they were responsible for following agile scrum model in most of the initiatives, managing the P&L for cloud team, managing a large team, deciding on the Cloud strategy and Direction with 3-year road map, designing Cloud service packages for Azure and AWS, assessments and migrations (AWS Migrate and Azure ASR), managed service Cloud infra and PaaS, managed Kubernetes, helping on proposals and SOWs, and working on implementation of SRE based operations model for Hybrid cloud managed services. That same year, they also joined Fintso as a DevOps Leader, where they were responsible for establishing the DevSecOps model for the Fintso platform, hiring, mentoring and building the team, and vendor selection for validating the platform (VAPT, Well Architected Framework, Performance testing, etc).

Ravipati Veeraramarao completed a B-tech in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University between 1997 and 2001. Ravipati then went on to pursue an MS in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University between 2001 and 2003. In addition to their formal education, Ravipati Veeraramarao has obtained certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and ForgeRock. Ravipati obtained the AWS Data Lab Boomerang certification from AWS in May 2022 and the AWS Data Lab Participant certification from AWS in February 2022. Ravipati also obtained the ForgeRock Directory Services Core Skills certification from ForgeRock in September 2016.
