Steven Petes

Steven Petes has over 30 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Steven started their career as a Programmer Analyst at George Brown College in 1979. Steven then worked as a Project Analyst at Imperial Oil Limited from 1981 to 1986.

From 1986 to 1996, Steven worked at Toronto Dominion Bank in various roles, including Systems Consultant and Project Leader. Steven was responsible for designing real-time interfaces, managing project teams, and developing investment-related software applications.

In 1996, Steven joined Fidelity Investments Canada Ltd as a Project Manager. Steven successfully led a multinational development project and delivered a Group Pension Recordkeeping System on schedule and defect-free.

From 1997 to 1998, Steven worked as the Director of Information Systems at CFDS Limited, where they built and managed a department of over 40 systems associates and consolidated all systems functions into a single team.

Steven then joined Cedara Software Corp in 1999 as the Director of Information & Corporate Services. Steven provided strategic leadership and implemented plans to support the company's infrastructure.

From 2006 to the present, Steven has held senior positions at Fio Corporation and University Health Network. As the Chief Information Officer at Fio Corporation, they planned and executed the establishment of the company's technology infrastructure. At University Health Network, they were responsible for managing the Quantum Dot Diagnostics Project, which involved the convergence of nano, bio, and information technologies.

Steven Petes attended the University of Toronto from 1974 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Industrial Engineering.
