Sarah Lynagh

Chief Executive Officer & Data Protection Officer at Fios Genomics

Dr Sarah Lynagh joined Fios Genomics in April 2012 and has over 15 years’ experience in drug development and commercialisation predominantly within contract research organisations. Sarah was a Research Fellow at Cancer Research UK specialising in the development of novel treatments for colon and ovarian cancers. She then left academia to begin her industry career as a Study Director for Quintiles (Edinburgh) which lead to a move to Singapore to establish Maccine, a preclinical CRO specialising in translational models of preclinical safety and efficacy. After 3 years in Asia, she returned to the UK to join BTG heading up the Preclinical Drug Development team and later Biopta Ltd in the position of Head of Research & Development. Sarah has a degree in Pharmacology and a PhD in Neuropharmacology both from the University of Glasgow and is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board in the Department of Informatics at King’s College, London. She is also a Board Observer representing SMEs within the Stratified Medicine Scotland Innovation Centre.
