Erwin Dhondt

Erwin Dhondt, MD, is a retired General in the Medical Corps and currently serves as a consultant in health, healthcare, and defense. Since 2023, they have held the position of Senior Fellow at the Royal Higher Institute for Defence and are an editorial board member for the Belgian Military Review. Erwin has an extensive academic background, having served as a visiting professor at various institutions from 2000 to 2019 and has been involved with NATO's Emergency Medicine Panel for two decades. As the founder and managing director of DO Consultancy bv, they focus on improving health systems while also contributing as an editor-in-chief for the European Military Medical Services magazine.
