Kristen Flaherty has worked in the software quality assurance and engineering field since 2013. Kristen began their career at DocBox, Inc. as a Safety and Quality Engineer II and Biomedical Engineer I from 2013-2016. Kristen then went on to work at IBM as a Quality Engineer- Watson Health Imaging and Quality Engineer- Watson Health Oncology and Life Sciences from 2016-2020. Currently, they are employed at FIRE1 Foundry as a Software Quality Assurance Manager and Senior Quality Engineer.
Kristen Flaherty holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained in 2021. Kristen also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Boston University, which they obtained in 2013, majoring in Biomedical Engineering and minoring in Mechanical Engineering. In 2011, they studied abroad at Dublin City University in Engineering and Computing. Kristen also holds several certifications, including Medical Device Cybersecurity Threat Modelling Bootcamp from the Medical Device Innovation Consortium (MDIC) obtained in 2021, Whitehall Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Training from the Royal College of Physicians obtained in 2020, IBM Agile Explorer from IBM obtained in 2019, Cognitive Practitioner from IBM obtained in 2019, and Quality System Requirements and Industry Practice (FDA Quality System Regulation) from AAMI obtained in 2014.
