Jr. Red Team Security Analyst at FireCompass

Hirra Sultan has a diverse work experience starting from 2016 with their role as a Post Graduate Student at Jamia Hamdard University. In 2018, they worked as a Teaching Fellow at RiSE Institute, where they taught Science to 9th and 10th standard students in conflict-affected areas of Kashmir. Hirra also designed activities to help students overcome various challenges.

In 2019, Hirra completed an internship at eResolute and worked as a Writer at Our Quest Magazine. Hirra continued their freelance journalism career at The Indus Post from October 2018 to May 2019 and later worked as a Freelance Columnist at Kashmir Observer from May 2020 to May 2021.

Hirra gained industry experience as an Intern at Microsoft from January 2021 to May 2021, where they gained insights into cybersecurity and worked with Metasploit. Starting from June 2021, Hirra joined FireCompass as a Red Teaming Security Analyst, responsible for tasks such as asset discovery, network and web vulnerability assessment, threat hunting, and executing phishing simulations. Hirra then progressed to the role of Jr. Red Team Security Analyst at the same company, handling similar responsibilities.

Additionally, Hirra has pursued their passion for writing as a Blogger at Inklings From The Dark since April 2015 and worked as a Freelance Journalist at Mountain Ink from May 2020 to January 2022.

Hirra Sultan's education history is as follows:

Hirra Sultan attended the Iqbal Memorial Institute from 1999 to 2011, where they completed their Higher Secondary education with a focus on science.

From 2012 to 2016, Hirra Sultan pursued their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Computer Science at Sharda University.

Hirra then went on to pursue a Master of Technology (MTech) degree in Computer Science at Jamia Hamdard from 2016 to 2018.

In 2018, Hirra Sultan enrolled at Indira Gandhi National Open University, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in English Language and Literature, General. Hirra completed their studies in 2020.

From 2019 to 2020, Hirra Sultan attended the National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT), where they studied Cyber/Computer Forensics.

In addition to their formal education, Hirra Sultan has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they completed the MITRE ATT&CK Defender™ (MAD) ATT&CK® Cyber Threat Intelligence Certification Training from Cybrary. Hirra also obtained the MITRE ATT&CK Defender™ (MAD) ATT&CK® Fundamentals Badge Training from Cybrary in 2022.

Furthermore, Hirra Sultan completed the Pre Security Learning Path from TryHackMe in November 2022 and the Introduction to Cyber Security course from TryHackMe in September 2022.

Hirra became a candidate for (ISC)², an information security certification consortium, in September 2022. Additionally, Hirra Sultan is a member of the Virtually Testing Foundation since April 2022, where they obtained the Virtually Testing Foundation - Member certification.
