Ilan Shmargad

Ilan Shmargad is an experienced business leader in the technology industry, having held senior roles in a variety of high-tech startups and public companies since 2007. In 2021, they began their current role as Vice President of Business Development and Alliances at Firedome. Prior to this, they were Vice President of Business Development at ControlUp from 2018 to 2022, where they were a key contributor in bringing the company to a 10X valuation and $50M+ ARR in less than four years. Ilan was also a Strategic Advisor and Board Observer at Sensible Vision Inc. from 2014 to 2018, and a Strategic Advisor and Board Member at Ananda Networks (acquired by VMware) from 2020 to 2021. In 2020, they were Vice President of Business Development and Alliances at Axis Security. From 2014 to 2020, they provided Senior Executive services for Funding/Business Development/Alliances/Channels/M&A for high-tech startups. From 2011 to 2014, they were Vice President of Business Development at Neebula Systems (acquired by Servicenow for $100M). From 2009 to 2011, they were Cofounder/COO of Buyful. From 2007 to 2009, they provided Senior Executive services for Funding/Business Development/Alliances/Channels/M&A for high-tech startups and public companies. Finally, from 2003 to 2007, they were Program Executive for Strategic Business Initiatives and Vice President of Strategic Alliances at Identify Software (acquired by BMC Software for $150M).

Ilan Shmargad received a B.Sc in Computer Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Ilan then went on to pursue an MBA Studies - Marketing from the Tel Aviv University - Recanati/Wharton MBA Program.
