Jeff Duncan

Jeff Duncan, P.E. is a highly experienced mechanical engineer with a robust background in structures engineering and management within the aerospace industry. Currently serving as the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Firefly Aerospace since May 2017, Jeff oversees all aspects of structures engineering, stress analysis, and structural dynamics. Prior roles at Firefly include Senior Manager of Launch Vehicle Structures and Lead Structures Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed the structural development of launch vehicles and leading significant engineering teams. Jeff's prior experience includes founding an autonomous UAS transportation company, and holding key engineering positions at Aviation Partners Boeing, FACC AG, and Boeing, where major contributions included stress analysis and structural modifications for commercial aircraft. Jeff holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University, along with a certificate in Composite Analysis and Design from the University of Washington.
