Vidya Shivatare

Vidya Shivatare began their work experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Academia Sinica, Taiwan in August 2015. Their responsibilities included profiling the glycan binding specificities of HIV-1 broadly neutralizing antibodies and developing glycan array technologies. Vidya also worked on conjugating carbohydrates to carrier proteins. Vidya held this position until February 2018.

In January 2020, Vidya joined Scripps Research as a Research Associate. Their work focused on in-vitro glycoengineering of anticancer and anti-influenza antibodies to improve their effector functions. Vidya also developed chemo-enzymatic methods for glycan synthesis and site-specific conjugation strategies through antibody Fc-glycan for antibody-drug or antibody-siRNA conjugates. Vidya remained with Scripps Research until March 2023.

Currently, Vidya is employed at Firefly Biologics as a Scientist II, starting in March 2023. No end date has been specified for this role.

Vidya Shivatare obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry from ISSC, University of Pune, from 2003 to 2005. Vidya then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry at National Tsing Hua University during the years 2009 to 2015.
