Firefly Drone Shows
Josh Valdés is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in electronic, mechanical, and software systems design, currently serving as a Senior Drone Systems Engineer at Firefly Drone Shows since March 2024. Previously, as a Senior Space Systems Engineer at HawkEye 360, Josh designed PCBs and firmware for satellite components and systems including radiation testing devices for low Earth orbit. At May Mobility, Josh contributed as a Platform Designer, enhancing vehicles for fully autonomous driving through innovative electronic and mechanical solutions. As a Prototype Design Engineer at Rising Edge Devices, Josh developed a range of electronic devices, and earlier roles included shop management at Maker Works and cofounding AHA! hackerspace, fostering community project collaboration. Academic credentials include a degree from Bowling Green State University, with prior studies at Eastern Michigan University and Washtenaw Community College.
