Satoe Sakuma

Satoe Sakuma is a software engineer who currently works for Firefly Health. Satoe has previous experience working for Wayfair, Samsung Electronics, and Humanyze. In their previous positions, they have led efforts in inbound visibility, optimized SQL for faster performance, and mentored new hires. Satoe has also created a Django application to monitor data integrity of equipment. In their role as a Tisdale Fellow at the Computing Research Association, they researched the effects of quantum mechanics on battery research.

Satoe Sakuma has a Bachelor's Degree (Magna Cum Laude) in International Relations and Computer Science from Boston University. Prior to that, they attended the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy where they majored in International Relations and Affairs.

They are on a team with Aditya Singh - Software Engineer, Akshay Bedre - Software Engineer, and Kevin Weaver - Senior Software Engineer. Satoe Sakuma reports to Evan Wittry, Head of Engineering.
