Courtney Hodgson

Courtney Hodgson has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Fluids Engineer I at Firehawk Aerospace since June 2023. Before that, they worked as a Satellite Undergraduate Research Assistant and a Database Analyst for the GRACE-FO Mission at The University of Texas at Austin from January 2021 to June 2023.

From September 2019 to June 2023, Courtney served as the President of the AIAA Student Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin. During the same period, they also held the position of President of LUNAR Council and Aerospace Class President at LUNAR Aerospace/Computational Engineering Council.

Other notable experiences include being a Fluids and Cryogenics Pathways Intern at NASA Glenn Research Center from August 2020 to August 2022, a Fluids Systems Engineer at the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab from September 2019 to October 2020, and a Systems Engineering, MBSE, and Simulation Intern at Raytheon Technologies from June 2020 to August 2020.

Prior to that, Courtney worked as a Private Music Teacher (May 2018 to May 2019) and an IT Marketing Intern at PlanMiner LLC. (September 2018 to April 2019).

Courtney Hodgson started their education at Seven Lakes High School, where they attended from 2015 to 2019. During this time, they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. In 2019, they enrolled at the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, where they are currently working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. Courtney is expected to graduate in 2023. Additionally, Courtney is pursuing a Certificate in Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) from The University of Texas at Austin, with a projected completion date in 2023. Courtney is also completing a Minor in French Studies from the College of Liberal Arts at The University of Texas at Austin, which they will finish in 2023. Before attending university, they briefly attended Arthur Miller Career Center in 2018 and 2019, although no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for this period.
