Derrick Baer

Derrick Baer is an experienced Fire Protection Design Engineer currently employed at Fireline Sprinkler Corporation since July 2020. Previously, Derrick worked as a Fire Protection Designer at Hill Fire Protection from May 2017 to July 2020, focusing on designing new and relocated sprinkler systems in the Chicagoland area while ensuring compliance with NFPA 13 standards. Derrick also gained valuable experience as a Virtual Construction Intern at The Hill Group in 2016, contributing to HVAC equipment modeling and preparation for prefabrication efforts. Derrick holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, earned in 2017.
