Karen Y. Preston, M.C.R. has a long and varied career in business and records management. Karen Y. started their career in 1974 at University Hospitals of Cleveland as a Records Management. In 1983, they moved to American Business Equipment as a Sales Supervisor. In 1985, they joined Fireproof as an Executive Vice President Business Development and a Director of Marketing & Sales. In 2000, they began working as a Mediator at the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas.

Karen Y. Preston, M.C.R. obtained their Bachelor degree in Marketing from David N. Myers University between 1979 and 1982. Karen Y. then went on to obtain their Masters degree in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Antioch College between 1995 and 2000. In June 2000, they obtained their Master in Conflict Resolution certification from Antioch University Ohio.
