Jerry Luk

Jerry Luk is the Co-Founder and President at Firework. Prior to that, they were the Head of Business Strategy, Mobile at Edmodo from July 2013 to January 2017. At Edmodo, Jerry Luk led business strategy and product for Edmodo mobile offering. Jerry directed and motivated cross-functional teams across engineering, product, data science, and business development to design and deliver platform and performance enhancements. Jerry also contributed to Edmodo growth strategy, created the viral loop approach that increased traffic 4X from notifications within 6 months. In addition, Jerry Luk attracted the talent and led majority of the product engineering to launch products from scratch including Parents App, Snapshot (assessment product), Edmodo Sync, and Social Topics. Jerry also designed and built micro-services architecture with team of engineers to increase the system reliability, performance, and scalability. This resulted in decrease of major issues by 10x from FY 2015 to 2016. Lastly, Jerry Luk negotiated deals to secure business partners to execute monetization experiments to identify revenue sources.

Jerry Luk received their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Jerry also attended high school at the Salesian English School in Hong Kong.
