Kyle Houston, PG

Kyle Houston, PG has worked in the engineering and geology field since 2014. Kyle began their career at Terracon as a Staff Geologist. In 2017, they joined Firmatek as an Engineering Production Manager and Project Engineer. In this role, they used LiDAR and photogrammetry to provide 3D mapping solutions for raw material companies, landfills, and other 3D mapping needs. Kyle was responsible for providing cut and fill volumes, stockpile volumes (indoor and outdoor), pit progression maps, underground mine maps, airspace and compaction calculations for landfills, and 3D As-Built point clouds for construction. Kyle also provided survey grade topographical maps with contours, point clouds, and ortho-rectified, geo-referenced photos.

Kyle Houston obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Georgia Southern University in 2014. In 2019, they obtained a Part 107 UAV Pilot License from the Federal Aviation Administration. In November 2020, they obtained a Professional Geologist certification from the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists.
