Melissa Kane

Melissa Kane has a diverse work experience in the fields of compliance, internal audit, and fraud investigation. Melissa started their career as an Audit Intern at the City of Torrance in 2009. Later that year, in September 2009, they joined Ernst & Young as a Fraud Investigation and Dispute Services Staff. In 2011, they joined First American Title where they held various roles, including Senior Internal Auditor, Internal Audit Team Lead, Internal Audit Manager, and Senior Compliance Officer. Melissa'smost recent position at First American Title is Compliance Director, which they have held since January 2017.

Melissa Kane obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics/Applied Science with a Minor in Accounting from UCLA, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. Melissa has also earned several certifications including Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) from the American Bankers Association in 2023, Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2013, Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in 2011, and Certified Public Accountant from the California Board of Accountancy in 2011.
