Joel Oschwald

Joel Oschwald has a diverse work experience spanning over several years in various roles and industries. Joel started their career in 1994 as an Assistant Vice President at American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago. Joel then moved to National City Corporation, where they spent a significant portion of their career. At National City Corporation, Joel held multiple roles, including Vice President of Small Business Banking, Vice President of Global Treasury Management Sales, and Vice President of Upper Middle Market Relationship Manager. During their time at National City Corporation, they achieved several notable accomplishments, such as growing and managing a $30,000,000 loan/$20,000,000 deposit portfolio and exceeding new revenue growth goals.

Joel also has experience working at PNC as a Vice President in Treasury Management. Joel later joined First State Bancorp of Monticello, Inc. as a Vice President. In 2014, Joel served as a Vicar at St. Michael Lutheran Church, followed by a role as a Pastor at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Their most recent position is with Heartland Bank and Trust Company, where they served as the Vice President of Commercial Banking. In this role, they provided financial solutions to middle market and small business owners and financed commercial real estate acquisitions.

Joel Oschwald earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1992 to 1994. Joel then went on to pursue an MBA in Operations and Finance from the Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, completing it from 1999 to 2002. Later, from 2012 to 2016, Joel obtained a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in Divinity/Ministry from Concordia Theological Seminary.
