Matt Lawson

Matt Lawson currently serves as the Executive Pastor at First Baptist Church Woodstock, a role held since January 2022. Prior to this position, Matt was the Chief Mobilization Officer at the North American Mission Board from January 2021 to January 2022, and the Lead Pastor at Story City Church from August 2014 to July 2021. Matt has extensive experience in ministry, including roles as an itinerant speaker and pastor at various organizations, including FUGE Camps and First Baptist Woodstock. Educationally, Matt holds a Master of Theology (Th.M.) in Evangelism and a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) in Biblical Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Accounting from Clemson University.
