Will Spencer has a diverse and extensive work experience. will is currently working as the Chief Social Enterprise Officer at 211 Broward since November 2017. Prior to this, Will held the position of Council Member and former Chairperson at Broward Regional HIV Health Planning Council from September 2003 to June 2018. will played a key role in ensuring the availability of technical expertise, training, and staffing for the HIV service provider network.
From August 2013 to November 2016, Will worked as the Vice President of Advancement at Kids In Distress Inc. Here, they developed a strategic roadmap for achieving funding objectives and managed risk by instituting practices to collect and safeguard contributions. Will also acted as a professional advisor and advocate for child welfare, liaising with community organizations.
Before that, they served as a Board Member at Kids In Distress Inc. from 2006 to 2013. In this role, they successfully conceptualized and presented a case for the creation of an optometry and pediatric dental care clinic to improve healthcare services for the KID population. Will also facilitated meetings between KID and Nova Southeastern University and executed a strategic roadmap for the development of a state-of-the-art facility.
Additionally, Will worked as a Board Member at Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center (CDTC) from 2006 to 2012. will managed the agency's most successful fundraising event and co-chaired a committee responsible for securing sponsorships and coordinating all aspects of the event. Will also co-founded a resource auxiliary group called "Transformers" that contributed to the community through donations of time, treasure, and talent.
Will Spencer has attended Bowdoin College, where they pursued a field of study in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies.
