Phillip Thong

Phillip Thong is the founder-partner of Thong, Yu, Wong & Lee, LLP (“the Firm”). Phillip has over 30 years of related experience in private and public accounting, management consulting, strategic & business planning, mergers & acquisitions, taxation, estate planning, international trade, manufacturing, banking and finance, real estate, wholesales/distribution and retail sales industries.

Phillip received a master's degree in business administration with Beta Gamma Sigma Honor from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, California and a bachelor's degree in accounting from West Coast University, Los Angeles, California.

Phillip is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of Certified Public Accountant, and a former member of the Advisory Board of the California Senate Select Committee on Small Business Enterprises.

Phillip is a co-founder and vice-chairman of First Choice Bank. He previously served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Audit and Examination Committee of International Bank of California.

In 2010, Phillip was privileged to be honored and recognized by Los Angeles Business Journal as the winner for 2010 Asian Business Awards for Asian American CPA who has set an example of excellence throughout Greater Los Angeles.
