Carl Insel

Carl Insel is a seasoned banking executive with extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple financial institutions. Currently serving as Regional Executive Vice President at First Citizens Bank since December 2010, Carl previously held the position of COO at Atlantic Coast Bank from October 2004 to August 2010. Earlier in the career at SunTrust Bank, Carl contributed as Senior Vice President in Retail, Private, and Business Banking from 1996 to 2004, and prior to that, served as Vice President for Retail Banking, Indirect Lending, and Mortgage Lending at Boatman's Bank from June 1991 to June 1996. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saint John's University and advanced banking studies at the Graduate School of Banking.
