L. Van-Thomas Crisco, MD has a diverse work experience in the medical field. L. Van-Thomas is currently serving as the Medical Director of First Coast Heart & Vascular Center since November 2014. L. Van-Thomas also co-founded Radial Assist LLC, a medical device company that eventually got acquired by Merit Medical in 2013. Before these ventures, they worked as an Interventional Cardiologist at St. Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta from November 2000 to December 2012 and at Northside Cardiology, PC from August 2000 to August 2009. L. Van-Thomas started their career as an MD at Emory University Hospital from 1994 to 2000, and at the University of Michigan from 1991 to 1994.

L. Van-Thomas Crisco, MD has an extensive education history in the medical field. L. Van-Thomas first attended Wake Forest University from 1982 to 1986, where they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry. Following this, they enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree.

After completing their MD, Dr. Crisco pursued further specialization through an Internal Medicine Internship and Residency program at the University of Michigan from 1991 to 1994. During this time, they gained valuable clinical experience in internal medicine. L. Van-Thomas then went on to complete Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology Fellowships at Emory University School of Medicine from 1994 to 2000. These fellowships provided him with advanced training in the field of cardiology.
