Prior to this role, Gurbachan worked as a Sales Associate at Insite Commercial Group, focusing on Investment and Land Real Estate deals in the Detroit Metropolitan area from February 2003 to June 2005. With a background in marketing and facilities engineering from IBM, Gurbachan served from 1982 to 1999, contributing to significant projects with major companies such as General Motors and the State of Michigan. Gurbachan holds a Master's degree in Electronics with a specialization in Digital Signal Processing from Southern Methodist University, which was completed between 1977 and 1979.
