John Melcher

John Melcher is currently the Chief People Officer at First Commonwealth. Prior to this, they were an HR Consultant with HR & Recruiting Solutions, LLC from January 2019 to December 2019. John has also held the position of Senior Vice President, Director of Human Resources with Beneficial Bank from January 2017 to December 2018 and Vice President, Human Resources with AmerisourceBergen from January 2010 to December 2016.

John has extensive experience in all facets of human resources, including compensation, organization structure, workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management. John has a proven track record of developing and delivering annual succession plans for executives and senior leadership teams, as well as establishing and leading a fully integrated corporate HR Center of Excellence function.

Under John's leadership, the HR Shared Services Center and Workday HRIS platform were successfully implemented. John is a strategic thinker with a passion for building high-performing organizations and developing engaged, productive workforce.

John Melcher has a Master of Science in Organizational Management from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor of Business Administration & Management from Florida Atlantic University.
