Matt Owens

Matt Owens has a diverse range of work experience in the field of security and law enforcement. Matt started their career as a Deputy Sheriff with the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office, where they gained experience in special operations and criminal investigation. Matt then joined the South Carolina National Guard, rising to the position of G3 Platoon Sergeant/Senior Operations NCO, where they managed logistics and operations. After retiring from the National Guard, they worked as a Sergeant with the Centerra Group, specializing in risk management and operational support. Currently, they hold the position of VP Physical Security and Safety Officer at First Community Bank of South Carolina.

Matt Owens attended Stevensville High School from 1997 to 2000. Matt did not earn a degree or pursue a specific field of study at this time. From 2018 to 2022, Matt attended Liberty University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice.
